Noctiluca, a technology company known for developing next-gen emitters for OLED displays, is expanding its portfolio and further commits to product development activities to be the first global high-performance materials provider with a solution for each layer of OLED display. - Almost every OLED manufacturer is currently involved in ink-jet printing (IJP) projects – big or small, out in the open or in stealth mode. Noctiluca, technology company listed on the Warsaw Stocke Exchange, has developed a breakthrough material for use on one of the OLED display layers. In laboratory tests in Korea, NCEIL-4 demonstrated a 15-fold increase in blue pixel lifespan while reducing power consumption. “This could be an important step forward in the ongoing race for blue in the OLED market,” says Mariusz Bosiak, the coomany’s CEO.

Noctiluca took part in ICDT in China, which inspired us to write a blog post about the immense potential of the Chinese market in the display industry and beyond. China is currently experiencing tremendous growth, with financial and numerical data confirming this fact. At Noctiluca, we conduct research on new generation emitters for use in the optoelectronic industry. One of the areas of focus is enabling the development of printed electronics, with particular emphasis on inkjet printing technology. As a chemical company, we also propose new solutions that improve the parameters of currently used 1st  and 2nd generation OLED devices. With the race for blue emitter still on, our team has asked ourselves, if there is another way to improve the OLED stack and overall lifetime of blue pixel. Once again, we turned our attention to the needs of the market and pain points of our clients. It was within the scope of such targeted research and collaboration with entities involved in OLED manufacturing that a new EIL material was developed.
